The BBC‬ (Chinese) Question Time, on “British Politics and the Chinese Community” debate was held yesterday at Broadcasting House, the BBC headquarters in London.

Conservatives ethnic Chinese candidates Jackson Ng, Xingang Wang, Liberal Democrat candidate Steven Cheung, Ex officer for Labour Vincent Lo and Green Party candidate James Chan were among the panelists hosted by Britt Yip.

There were strong views and exchanges between the panel and the audience regarding issues that affect the Chinese community in the UK.

The debate was instigated because there is an unprecedented large number of parliamentary candidates of Chinese descent participating in the upcoming election in May.
