Visitor Experience Assistants wanted for a national museum in London (Fluent in English & Mandarin)

Artisan People are recruiting Visitor Experience Assistants at a world renowned national museum in central London. The museum has a superb reputation for representing culture and its staff facilitate the presentation of its collection to as wide audience as possible.

You will know the importance of a unique visitor experience in a museum. You must enjoy interaction with the public and have previous experience working in a busy customer facing environment.

You must be able to demonstrate the following abilities or experiences (please include, with examples, in covering letter):

·         Fluency in English and excellent communication skills

·         2nd language desirable, particularly Mandarin/Chinese

·         A commitment to providing the best visitor experience possible

·         Vigilance within surroundings and awareness of security issues

·         Excellent presentation, punctuality and reliability

·         Alertness for quick response to emergency situations and evacuations

·         Engaging with visitors, actively promoting exhibitions and ticket sales

·         Be able to work in a busy cloakroom including manual lifting

·         Positive and proactive approach

·         Box office or cash handling experience (desirable)

You must be available for a briefing on 4th September, interviews will before this date.

The training induction will be 8th– 12th September and 15th– 17th September; candidates MUST be present for every date of the training, otherwise cannot be used in the role.

You MUST be available to work full time hours (0940-1740) approx. 5 days per week from 18th September, including weekends, on a rolling rota provided by the museum until 5th January 2014.

You must be prepared to work overtime at short notice, particularly for evening or members’ events, early mornings or late nights. Any candidates who cannot work these dates cannot be used in the role.

Pay is £7.50 p/h, rising to £10.11 p/h after 12 weeks.

必须能在9月4日出席工作简令会,工作面试将在此日前进行完毕。

工作培训将在9月8日至12日以及9月15日至17日进行,学员必须出席所有的工作培训,否则不被录用。

必须可以从9月18日起开始全日制的工作,按博物馆提供的排班表工作到2015年的1月4日。每周工作约五天,每天工作时间从早上9点40分至下午5点40分。

必须作好随时加班的准备,特别是对于特殊会员活动,早班以及夜班等。任何做不到的学员不予录用。

工资每小时 £7.50, 工作满12周后升至每小时£10.11
