On the 3rd of May 2012, Lin Shao Qiang went to the Si Chuan branch of the Bank of China with a carrier bag stuffed with 50,000 RMB ( equivalent to £5 grand ) which had been shredded to pieces by his wife. The cash was intended to be used for her medical fees as she has a mental illness.
