The annual Asia House Fair, a pop-up bustling colourful bazaar selling unique items from across Asia, returns for its ninth year in March 2017.

The Fair will take place at Asia House in Marylebone from Thursday 16 March until Sunday 19 March.

The Fair will feature over 30 stalls selling unique and unusual items that are not ordinarily found on the high street. Textiles, jewellery, homeware, clothes, accessories, gifts, art and food from across the Asian region will be available as well as objects inspired by traditional craftsmanship from countries as diverse as Japan, India and Uzbekistan.

Original and ethically-sourced items on sale this year include vintage kimonos from Japan; handmade fabrics from the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia; silk embroidery art; experimental artisan chocolate; traditional textiles from Khiva in Uzbekistan; artisanal Indian silver jewellery; and bespoke Indian bridal wear.

Many of the stallholders have a unique story to tell about the communities they source their products from. They typically work with traditional craftsmen and artisans in countries across Asia, including many living in marginalised communities. Some work with tribal communities or women in remote regions for whom the products are essential sources of income.

Asia House’s chef Paul Bloomfield will host an Asian street food pop-up café from Friday to Sunday. On sale will be Japanese bento boxes, Chinese street food, and South Asian tiffin boxes.
