Hainan Airlines at Manchester Airport wins Best China Airline

Hainan Airlines continues to go from strength to strength at Manchester Airport and its quality is shining bright with passengers and the industry.

Just last month, it was the only Chinese carrier nominated – and awarded – the Skytrax Five-Star Airline award for the 6th consecutive year. The airline was also honoured with the designation as Best China Airline and received the Best China Airline Staff Service award.

The World Airline and Airport Star Rating are recognised global ranking systems that classify carriers and airports by the quality of their front-line product and staff service standards. Airline Star Rating was introduced by SKtrax in 1999, with the Airport Star Rating programme following in 2001.

Since 2011, Hainan Airlines has won consecutive global Skytrax five-star airline ratings and is only one of only eight airlines in the world to currently have this accolade. Last year it was also rated by Skytrax as the “Best Airline in China”.

It places it in the same elite league as Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

Since June passengers have been enjoying the award winning service to Beijing which makes Manchester the only UK airport outside of London with a direct service to Mainland China.

The flight is served by an Airbus 330-300, which has capacity for 292 passengers, 32 of which are business class seats with lie-flat beds and an excellent on-board service.
