Demonstrators gathered outside the Chinese embassy in London yesterday evening in support of the pro democracy protests in Hong Kong.

The demonstration organised by the Hong Kong Overseas Alliance was made up predominantly of Hong Kong students studying at British universities. An estimated 3000 people turned out for the event outside the embassy in Great Portland Place.

Student Josh Lau told Nee Hao: “I literally just got off the plane today to come back for my studies. I couldn’t attend the Occupy Central protests in Hong Kong for personal reasons, so this was my chance to contribute.”
