hungryhouse creates world’s first Chinese-takeaway infused incense sticks

hungryhouse has announced it is developing a limited-edition Chinese takeaway incense collection, to mark Chinese New Year.

The incense is due to be piloted in three flavours inspired by some of the nation’s favourite Chinese dishes – Sweet and Sour, Black Bean Sauce, and Peking Duck.

The UK trial will kick off in London, Manchester and Liverpool over the two-week celebration.

With the tantalising aroma of a piping hot meal being one of the best ways to build up an appetite and leave you Wonton more; the takeaway-infused incense aims to encourage friends and family to share a festive feast, in true Chinese New Year style.  For maximum drool-factor, users are advised to burn the incense sticks up to half an hour before the takeaway arrives.

Alice Mrongovius CEO of hungryhouse said “We wanted to have some fun with the cuisine and get bellies rumbling. The New Year celebration is all about getting loved ones together and what better way to entice them to your table than the delicious smell of a takeaway, before it has even arrived”.
