Li Na (李娜) in French Open Final

China’s Li Na wins in straight sets (6-4, 7-5) against the former world No.1 Maria Sharapova, to get to her second Grand Slam final of the year at the French Open.

29 year old Li, born in Wuhan China, is ranked No.7 in the world and became the first Chinese woman to reach the final of a tennis Grand Slam, defeated by Kim Clijsters in the Australian Open at the beginning of the year.

She hopes to go one better this time at the Roland Garros Tournament in Paris, which along with Wimbledon is one of the most prestigious tennis events in the world. With her hard hitting style,  she definitely stands a chance to break even more records, and possible be the first Asian to win a Grand Slam.

Li Na plays  Francesca Schiavone from Italy in the Ladies Final of the French Open 4th June 2011.

Nee Hao Magazine wishes her the best of luck as she is a fantastic role model and sportsperson.

She told Nee Hao; ” Thank you so much to your readers for the support. I am very proud to represent and will see you when I come to Wimbledon “
