Liverpool’s See Yep wins award from Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China

Liverpool’s award winning See Yep Association who in 2016 (their 110th anniversary year) won the Queens Award For Voluntary Service (the group equivalent of an MBE) have received further recognition from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China at a community event held in Manchester on the 21st of March 2017, attended by community leaders and their representatives.

The accolade was bestowed upon the Association for their outstanding performance in building a harmonious overseas Chinese community.

The Consulate General greatly appreciates all the hard work and effort the See Yep voluntarily puts in on a daily basis year in, year out. With 2016 being notable for the groups significant contribution to the Sino-British culture, humanities, history and preservation and development of Chinese customs overseas.

The See Yep Association are deeply honoured by the award and commented, “We will continue with our good work to actively promote the community and social services with cultural understanding and co-operation at our heart, building an even brighter future”.
