Dramatic video footage from China Central Television, shows a man catching a one-year-old baby boy who fell from a second floor building in Xiaolan town, Zhongshan city, Guangdong province. The baby boy was hanging from a window ledge after looking for his mother who had briefly left him alone on Sunday.

The hero known only as Mr Li said: ” I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to catch the baby, residents from the neighbourhood laid down cardboard just in case.”

” It was nothing really, just basic human instinct, ” he added. The baby’s mother was extremely grateful.
