The annual Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival hosted by the Chinese Information and Advice Centre (CIAC) will be held at the House of Lords on Thursday, 19th September 2013.
A traditional afternoon tea will be served at the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace between 3.30 pm – 5.00 pm including a rich selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a variety of assorted jams, cakes, pastries, and of course, mooncakes too!
Mr Edmond Yeo, Chair of CIAC remarked “We are most grateful to Lord Sheikh who has kindly helped us to put together this first-time-ever Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations at the House of Lords. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Community Unity” to promote community spirit and social cohesion”.
Please come to enjoy the afternoon tea with mooncakes and experience the spectacular view of the Terrace overlooking the River Thames. Entry is strictly by invitation only. By accepting an invitation, you will pay £50 (which includes the afternoon tea and a minimum donation of £30 to CIAC). Limited invitations on a first-come, first-served basis. Dress code is smart, no jeans.
