Do you think that promoters add value to the local economy?

Lindsey is a very fun loving type of person

Yes, we spend a lot of money on printing promotional materials such as tickets and posters, the hiring of DJs, then the club needs to hire the audio equipment, bouncers etc.  Our clients will probably buy new clothes, maybe have a meal out before the event, take a taxi, buy a few drinks, so it definitely does.

What do you enjoy about being a party host?

What I enjoy most about organising a party is the outcome of it, watching everyone having a good time is probably the most satisfying part of the job. There is a lot of stress involved in promoting an event but I enjoy every single part of the process whether it’s good or bad.

Who is in your team?

My main team is my brother Waj and also I have some reliable and loyal promoters, Cat Linton and Michi and Tema O ‘Connor, just to name a few. Waj is responsible for the financial side of things where as I mainly deal with the promotional aspects. However we both share equal responsibility. Our promoters are the face of the company, their personalities reflect what the company is all about, bubbly, chatty, enthusiastic and motivated.

GoGo have been involved with our good friend Nader Navabis events aka Press Play who are based in Vancouver and Bristol. We also helped promote a few events that have had nearly 1,000 people coming. That was quite manic, but it went very well.

What was your last event?

Our last party we did was the BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rampage event on Easter Bank Holiday. We hope to have the same success for the event we are currently organising on Boxing Day (26th Dec) GoGo’s Boxing day special will be at ZEN featuring KISS FM’s very own DJ SWERVE, with local Bristol artist, DJ Migz.

And what’s in the pipeline?

I am very much looking forward to the Boxing Day party because it is one of the biggest events of the year, we hope everyone will come out and celebrate Christmas with us! We feel Christmas is over too soon so Boxing day is the perfect excuse to relax and unwind in a disco environment.

We will be welcoming anyone of any cultural background to our GoGo events (over 18) and we always love to see new faces! We also promote responsible drinking.
