Winter blew its first breath over London, but that did not stop the festive mood and avid shoppers carrying out their mission on Regents Street. It certainly didn’t stop anyone from coming to the Folli Follie store (124 Regents Street) to have their photos taken for the Nee Hao and Folli Follie Winter/Spring Girl competition! 

This season, Nee Hao Magazine has teamed up with international fashion brand Folli Follie to give you a chance to win either their luxurious Santorini Flower leather bag (worth £180) or their new Santorini Flower necklace (worth £120). To celebrate the brand’s growing presence in Asia, this competition is open to young Chinese, East Asian and South-east Asian females based in the UK. Those eligible are invited to submit photos of their outfits to Nee Hao. The winner and the runner-up will be judged on how they respond to the theme “East meets West,” as well as the number of Facebook likes and WeChat votes that the contestant receives. 

Although most of the girls I met on the day were shy, I still managed to get their photos taken. For me, the two most memorable entrants were Wendy Li and Hebe Wang (photos below), who rocked their winter outfits. Keeping warm was also high on their priority list.

And so the search begins! 

During my short visit, the store manager, Shaun, was very kind to bring out the two winning prizes for this competition, and after seeing them in person, I am certain that both winner, and runner up will be very pleasantly surprised!

The staff at Folli Follie was also happy to show me the various ways the bag and necklace can be worn. The Santorini flower bag can be worn as a clutch or as a cross-body. It has practical inner compartments as well as an outer zip to ensure order in your bag all day long.

Other than red, the bag also comes in black, pink and navy blue. The necklace from their Santorini collection is another prize not to be overlooked. The pendant is a lot bigger than it would appear in the photo. It sits perfectly in my hand and the weight of its gold plated pendant and 80cm gold chain is certainly impressive. Again, the staff kindly demonstrated how you could play with the length of the necklace to make it a versatile accessory.
