A dream is not just a dream; It is an achievable plan that sits in front of your desk, waiting for you to succeed in pursuing what you have always wanted.

Tiffany Lo (Lok Yin Lo), a student from Hong Kong, has recently been crowned Miss Social Media in the Miss Birmingham 2016 Final. This award was judged based on the amount of likes, shares, and the quality of posts on her Facebook page. In the Final, she also got marked for her four catwalk rounds (Fashion round, Eco-wear round, Evening wear round, Sports-wear round).

‘I am overwhelmed by the support received from my family, friends, and the entire Hong Kong community,’ she said, ‘This award doesn’t belong to me, but to the people who have supported me throughout the whole process.’

Although she did not make it to the top 12 in Miss Birmingham, she is satisfied with what she has obtained during this beauty pageant, because this award represents the all the support from everyone.

‘This is one of the most valuable experiences I have had in my life,’ she explained, ‘It was not merely about winning the competition, it was also about bettering and upgrading yourself.’

Tiffany took this pageant as an excuse for her to learn how to be presentable in front of the media and the public, to choose suitable outfits for oneself, to live a healthy lifestyle, as well as to practice proper posture techniques. She had worked incredibly hard to succeed in what she was doing. Even though she experienced ups and downs in the competition, she believed that one has to sit through the bad stuff to gain something wonderful.

Now that the contest is over, Tiffany is back on track in her theatre businesses and studies. She will, soon, launch her first online radio channel discussing the arts in the UK. Her upcoming performances included Little Misses, performing in Birmingham MAC Theatre, and 4.48 Psychosis, performing in Stratford-upon-Avon.

In May 2016, Tiffany will be competing against Miss Social Media from other regional heats for the title of Social Media Queen. This title, on the other hand, is a direct entry to Miss England Semi Final!
