The world’s top freestyle snowboarders will meet today through to the 16th March at the 2016 World Championships of Snowboarding in Yabuli, China, competing for titles in Slopestyle, Halfpipe and in Big Air. The total purse will be $500,000 USD.

Among the 250 competing riders are a who’s who of snowboarding. Kelly Clark, Jamie Anderson, Yuki Kadono, Sven Thorgen, Ayumu Hirano and Shaun White will all be on hand to battle it out. This event marks the first time China will host a top-level international snowboarding competition in all 3 disciplines and the return of Shaun White to professional snowboarding.
