An Asian beauty is working hard in pursuing her dream, but will she succeed in competing for the Miss Birmingham crown?

Lok Yin Lo (Tiffany) has been shortlisted for Miss Birmingham 2016. She is engaging in a numbers of events, acts, and gigs to promote to help fundraise for the competition’s charity – Beauty With a Purpose.

‘To win this competition would mean so much to me, but fundraising or simply doing good deeds without using the title of Miss Birmingham finalist has gradually become more important to me and essential for me as a person, because it brings happiness to my life. It makes me a better person. To me, I have already succeeded in this beauty pageant.’

Tiffany will be hosting charity flower sales around the University of Birmingham next week, and door to door charity bake sales in Selly Oak and Birmingham City Centre!

Tiffany has started a hashtag on Facebook and Instagram encouraging her friends, family, and supporters to give out hot drinks to those in need on the street.

‘The weather is not normal these days. It can suddenly drop to minus two degrees at night, and the homeless will need our help. Wouldn’t it be great if we just give them a cuppa, and express our love?’

‘It is not just about how much you donate’, she added, ‘it is also about how much you care deep down in your heart’.

If she wins the title of Miss Birmingham, Tiffany would like to continue to devote herself to producing more performing arts. She would like to use the field of the arts to help vulnerable young people in Birmingham, increasing their self-esteem, confidence, and self-belief.

Miss Lo is asking for people in the UK to lend their support! She is hoping to win the Miss Social Media title by getting the top likes and shares on Facebook; of course being voted one of the top three in the finals too! If she reaches the top three her fate will then be in the hands of the panel of judges. The winner of Miss Birmingham will have a chance to secure her place at the Miss England 2016 grand final!
