On 26th July 2014, The Chinese Community Centre (CCC) hosted the 5th annual Chinese Community Challenge Cup at Powerleague Wembley.

The tournament attracted teams from all over the UK with some teams from abroad. In total, an unprecedented 24 teams took part in this year’s Community Challenge Cup, with 200 competitors from different cultural backgrounds taking part in the biggest and most competitive football tournament to date.

The level of competition for this year had raised the bar even higher with many teams eager to show why they should be the champions. A number of teams dominated the Group stages including both Kam Kee teams, Not All That, OS Tuga and Brandon FC.

The Golden Boot award went to Henry from Not All That, scoring an amazing tally of 22 goals throughout the tournament

The referees on the day had a hard time deciding who the player of the tournament was and this was closely contested by two players. It was fitting that these two players also played for opposing teams in the Final of the Cup knockout competition.

The two finalist teams also emerged from the same Group – Not All That and OS Tuga, and after the dust had settled and 57 games later, Not All That became the newly crowned champions of the Chinese Community Cup.

Mitch from Not All That had also won the Player of the tournament award after inspiring his team to victory.

The winners of this year’s Saucer knockout competition are: CATH A.
