Nominations now open for Chinese Business Leaders Awards

Nominations are now open for the Chinese Business Leaders Awards, co-hosted by PwC and SinoPro.

These are the first UK awards to recognise and celebrate Chinese individuals who have made significant contributions to the UK’s business community.

This year’s awards take place on the 8th November 2017 at the National Gallery in London. Previous winners include: Head of Chinese at the BBC (Raymond Li), founder and CEO of Made.com (Ning Li), an executive director at Goldman Sachs (Lin Yue) and a partner at Clifford Chance London (Maggie Zhao).

Suwei Jiang, lead partner of PwC UK’s China Business Group, said:

“As a previous winner of a Chinese Business Leaders Award myself, I know just how valuable the exposure and gravitas they bring can be. We’re in a golden era of relations between the UK and China and Brexit offers further opportunities for collaboration, making now the perfect time to showcase the success of Chinese individuals in the UK. “

“There are significant potential benefits and opportunities for Chinese and UK companies to work together, but achieving them isn’t always straightforward. At PwC, our China Business Group has been helping our clients with this journey for the past 10 years, working with businesses to find the right commercial opportunities and understand cultural and regulatory differences.”

Chinese Business Leaders Award 2017 categories include:

  • Deal Maker of The Year
  • Entrepreneur of The Year
  • Innovator of The Year
  • Rising Star Award
  • Talent Management Award
  • Community Contribution Award

Nominations close on the 20th October 2017.

Chanel Zhu at SinoPro commented:

The awards aim to help build a more cohesive Chinese business community across industries, regions and business areas, while raising the profile, achievements and contributions of the winners across wider British and international society.”
